Hello! I'm trying to figure out two people who were under the legal guardianship of my great-grandfather Frederick Reed and his first wife, Susanna Berry Reed. The two people are William H. Barton and his sister Emma. In Van Wert Co., Ohio, Frederick applied for guardianship of the kids in 1879 when William was 15 and Emma was 12. Their father is listed as Henry Barton, deceased. I don't know the family connection to the Barton family. If these names sound familiar, please contact me at codlingp@earthlink.net. Thanks!

Rufus Barton, Benjamin Barton, Sarah Barton and others of Warwick Rhode Island. I have several primary documents dating from the mid to late 18th century including some on Providence Plantatation, deeds, indentures, etc. Very interesting. Would like to trade for Broga (my family) primary material, or other interesting trade materials such as diaries or military material. Please contact me at rm@net1plus.com if you have interest and I will send a list and sample JPGs. If this posting belongs elsewhere, please advise. Thank you. Rob Morin
I am searching for my great-grandfather, Thomas Barton. He married Katherine (Kate) Kelly and they had Thomas, Mary Ellen & James (my grandfather). James had a twin who died (I assume at birth). The 1900 census said he was born in England to two Irish parents. It also said that he was a nat. citizen and that he came here in 1895. That doesn't make sense though, since all the kids were born in PA and the first one was born around 1883. They lived in South Phila. and he had died by the time the 1920 census was done. I can't find him at all in the 1910 census. Please e-mail me at: LateNiteDreamer@aol.com
Dear Terry, Carl, and all who may be concerned: I recently visited the Old Barton Cemetery over the summer located just outside of Mosheim in Bosque County Texas. It has been recently cleared of overgrowth, cleaned up, markers realigned/straightened, and a new barbed-wire fence has been built around the entire site (appoximately five acres). It is located about a half-mile from the main farm to market road just adjacent to the property. Many of our Barton ancestors and/or relatives are buried there, including David Oldham (Cloud) Barton III, 34th GA Inf. CSA. His (DOB's) headstone is of a military nature, indicating his service in the Confederate Army. My father and I took several nice 35mm pictures which I should have copies of for uploading soon. By the way, my name is also David Barton and the David Oldham Barton mentioned is my great-grandfather. For questions please feel free to send a reply to this message or to dcbarton@msn.com I am also compiling an extensive (and growing) database of my own Barton heritage military service information including names, dates, units, wartime service, medals, and awards. Thank you and May God Bless each.

Does anyone know the father and mother of William Cole Barton married to Louise Calvert. William was born approx. in 1844. He was located in Staunton Va and worked as a butcher at his own meat shop. I believe his fathers name was William and his mother was Sarah Morris. Louise Calverts parents names were, Cary A.B. Calvert and Susan Smith.
William Cole Barton and Louise Calvert were suppose to have had seven children only three of that are known to have lived. Arthur Powell, Charles and Harry. Arthur Powell married Rebbecca Noon and moved to MD. I know pretty much the rest from there, if anyone has any info before or after what I have I would be interested.
